He lani i luna, he honua i lalo - stay with your legs on the Earth and reach to the Sky with your Spirit...

In Hawaiian tradition Ho'oponopono means Healing Relationships within Ohana.

A unique ability of healing relationships was one of the well-known skills of Hawaiian shamans.

Hawaii is one of the most isolated places on our planet. Geographical distance caused that Hawaiian people were more interested in healing relationships with people they lived with rather than looking for new relationships. Hawaiian shamans also knew that people cannot run away from unsolved problems, the problems will "follow " them wherever they go...

During centuries of practice Hawaii has become a symbol of Aloha culture, Spiritual Love.

A long time ago, when people were living close to each other in small communities, shamans could predict possible problems even before they happened in reality. To prevent this shaman gathered Ohana, the family and the village people, to solve even small problems, to prevent them from becoming bigger ones. Shamans were deeply aware of connections between strong problematic emotions and body symptoms. They knew that if person keeps anger in his/her body for a long time, it can influence body in a negative way - from creating ulcers to much deeper problems.

For people with big health problems and serious diseases, Kahunas would always use Ho'oponopono as part of body healing. In this way Kahuna would heal the roots of the problem, not a body itself. And very often the functions of the body would change positively as a result of well done Ho'oponopono.

Ho'oponopono was not "positive thinking" as some people believe today. Ho'oponopno was not "forgiveness" connected with Catholic faith, introduced to Hawaiian people in XIXth century.

Ancient Hawaiian Ho'oponopono was Spiritual Love awakening, used for transforming relationships. This process invoved all parts of person's reality - from decisions, values and beliefs to healthy actions in real life.

Ancient Ho'oponopono would not only heal one person's problems but the whole Ohana functioning. It was never enough knowing only one technique to use Ho'oponopono in practice. Ancient Ho'oponopono include skills and experiences such as:

- healing toxic bonds,
- black- magic influences,
- consequences of traumas,
- toxic family traditions,
- making free from Ghosts energies
- negotiating skills
- and becomig the role model for using high values.

To prepare for becomig a Haku -a person responsible for Ho'oponopono, the person would need to be prepared by Kahunas in a similar way, as we learn psychology at university today. It would take time, require skills to be proved, and values to be expressed in life. People who are not trusted, who are willing to control, dismiss and abuse other people in their personal life, would not be trusted to lead Ho'oponopono process. Only the highly trusted Kupuna - elders in Ohana, could take this responsibility and learn under the guidance of a shaman. Misuse of Ho'oponopono practice could be considered as toxic and cold create new forms of abuse.

On this web site we present Traditional Hawaiian Ho'oponopono - which we learned and used with support and blessing of shamans from the Big Island of Hawaii.
